To help the youth prepare for Combined Defense Services (CDS) and National Defense Academy (NDA) exams, the Uttrakhand government has decided to set up two centers. One of the centers will be established in Kumaon and other in Garhwal regions which will train the youth for the competitive exams of the armed forces.

The official organizer of the CDS exam, Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has notified about the CDS- 2018 exam.

The last date to fill the online application form for the exams is December 4, 2017 till 6:00 pm.

Trivendra Singh Rawat, Uttrakhand Chief Minister said that the centers will be established in the school and college where there is enough infrastructure to train the students for the exam.

The decision to set up these training centers for the NDA and CDS exams was taken in a meeting between the Chief minister and Commandant of the Indian Army’s Bangalore selection center Major General VPS Bhakuni.

Giving a presentation in the meeting, Maj. Gen. Bhakuni said that the success rate in the NDA and CDS exams is even lower than the civil service exams due to comprehensive personality test and therefore, there is a need of such training centers which can tailor the skills of the aspirants according to the standards of the exam.
