Cooking gas has become even more expensive in our country than last year . Government oil companies (Oil PSUs) increased the price of 14.2 kg LPG cylinder for household use by Rs 25 more in this month.that is why the budget of cooking in homes has been disturbed at all levels of society . Now the women of the village have also shifted their  LPG use to electricity in  cooking, along with this there has been a secondary awareness rises among the lower middle class and middle class women of the urban areas for savings of money as they use electricity for cooking food.
It is estimated that if someone has a family of five and he eats normal food, in such families a 14.2 kg gas cylinder lasts for about 25 – 30 days. And the price of gas per kg is Rs 63. That is, on an average, half a kg of gas is used every day. Means a day gas of Rs 32 is spent. This is the reason why the kitchen budget is messed up. And now people have started cooking with electricity instead of gas.

However, people in the country’s capital Delhi do not have much problem with this. Because most of the areas in Delhi have PNG connections. But, in other parts of the country, electricity is the only option. Whereas in backward areas wood and chulha wood is still used.

Due to all these reasons people have started cooking with induction stove and electric heater etc. If you cook with an electric induction stove, it is much cheaper.

According to economics experts, if food is cooked for both the times of a family of five, then three to four units of electricity is spent in a day. The average per unit electricity charge on domestic connection in all the states is Rs 6 per unit. If even four units of electricity are spent in cooking food for both the times, then you can cook food for both the times in 24 rupees.
Meaning that your food is ready in very less cost than gas. By the way, the induction stove in the market is available for a long time. But ever since LPG has started becoming expensive, people have started liking it a lot. Now this stove has started selling well in rural areas as well, because now there is electricity in rural areas too. The cost of buying an induction stove ranges from one and a half to three thousand rupees.
That’s why its popularity is increasing. Induction stove makes it cheaper to cook, After its disclosure, now the sale of such stoves has started increasing. A trader associated with this sector told that with this expectation, its manufacturing companies are making a good stock of it in the market .

In such a situation the state governments should encourage the production of non-conventional energy, especially in the villages.
