Top cities for the students have been ranked for 2017 based on the preferences of the students in terms of affordability, desirability, scope of employment and employer activity, pollution, safety etc
.
The list of the top 100 cities was prepared by the QS, the same organization which also ranks the top universities of the world based various parameters.

In the list of top 100 cities, Montreal has emerged as the best city for the students, which is closely followed by the Paris and London at second and third place respectively.

Surprising fact is that only one city each from UK and US found its place in the top cities for the students though Universities from both countries dominate the top ranking list of the universities.

The list of the top 10 cities is as follows:

  • Montreal, Canada
  • Paris, France
  • London. UK
  • Seoul, South Korea
  • Melbourne, Australia
  • Berlin, Germany
  • Tokyo, Japan
  • Boston, USA
  • Munich, Germany
  • Vancouver, Canada

Two Indian cities also made it to the list but on the rankings below 80. Mumbai has been ranked at 85th place and Delhi at 86th place and both the cities are the home of famous central universities of the nation namely, University of Mumbai and University of Delhi.

Both universities attract students for graduation and post-graduation from all over the country.

The inclusion of the two metro cities in the list is satisfactory for now but it also tells us that India needs to improve not only the education system but also, the facility which it provides to the students who come to study here.
