In a veiled but clear dig at Bollywood star Kangana Ranaut, filmmaker Rakesh Roshan has claimed he does not lie or indulge in loose talk. His comments came two days after the complaint lodged by Hrithik Roshan to Mumbai Police was revealed by a TV channel. The Krrish star had alleged in the complaint that he was being “chased and hounded” by Kangana.
Rakesh said, “We are not loose talkers. We don’t believe in making wild unsubstantiated accusations. We have submitted our complaint with all the proof.”
He claimed that people would be “shocked” by the facts. “We gave our side of the truth to the cyber crime branch on April 8, 2017. We submitted all the authentic, relevant documents with all the emails and electronic gadgets. It’s now up to the authorities to decide who’s telling the truth. We’ve always believed in the power of the truth. I was taught to be honest by my father (legendary music composer Roshan) and I’ve taught Hrithik the same. In this matter, the truth will be out soon.”
The complaint was filed by Hrithik’s counsel, Mahesh Jethmalani, to Joint Commissioner of Crime Department, Mumbai Police. The actor also deposited all his phones and laptops with the police. The complaint alleges that Kangana was constantly pursuing Hrithik and he was ‘repulsed but out of decency ignored those mails’. He also claimed she sent him ‘sexually explicit’ emails.
While Kangana did not react to this, her sister Rangoli Chandel said in a series of tweets, “This is the best you can do to save your face? Revive same old stalking, sexually harassing baseless complaint? Kangana was in school when your first film came if not in the industry she would have called you her uncle. Young beautiful talented rich girl like Kangana doesn’t need to stalk an uncle like you, u were after her she was never after you. And still you are going after her to malign her even though you have nothing to say.” She added, “Evryone cn tell who is the stalker here forgt about Kangana she hs movd on n stalker uncle pls focus on ur children and wife Tnx.”
Before the release of her film Simran, Kangana had taken on the Roshans once again in a series of interviews. Claiming that at one point she feared for her life, the actor had demanded a public apology from Hrithik and his father Rakesh. The Roshans had chosen not to react to the allegations then.
