CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday launched the Seekho-Kamao Yojana, saying it will tap the youths’ energy and talent.

“If industrialists and business institutions train them, they will bring laurels for their establishment. Mukhyamantri Seekho-Kamao Yojana has been designed keeping in mind the interests of business establishments and youth alike. It will provide an opportunity for youth to learn and work and will ensure availability of skilled manpower to commercial establishments,” the CM said.
“The abbreviated form of Seekho-Kamao Yojana is SKY Youth should come forward, join the scheme, fly high in the sky and make their life successful and meaningful. I will not let the dreams of the youth die at any cost,” Chouhan said. He inaugurated the scheme by registering ITI pass Raj Kushwaha on the portal\.
Interacting with youths at the event, Chouhan said, “It is our resolve to create a better future for youths. We had promised 1 lakh government jobs will be filled up in a year. Till now, 55,000 recruitments have been made and before August 15, more than 1 lakh government recruitments will be made,” he announced.
Loans for self-employment have been arranged under Mukhyamantri Udyam Kranti Yojana’, Mudra Scheme, PM Employment Generation Programme etc. “Youth can work on their own startups. So far 2,800 startups are working in the state. We are trying to encourage investment. A large number of jobs will be generated\,” he said.
Chouhan said that permanent residents of MP in the age group of 18-29 years will be eligible for Seekho-Kamao scheme. “Rs 8,000 will be given to class 12th pass students, Rs 8,500 to ITI passed, Rs 9,000 to diploma pass, Rs 10,000 to graduate and above. To provide ample employment opportunities to youths, 700 courses have been selected. All types of industries, business establishments, service sectors etc. have been included in this scheme. On the portal, youths will be able to choose an activity according to their ability and interest”, he said.
Chouhan said that 10,432 establishments have been registered under scheme so far and 34,785 vacancies have been identified. “Establishments outside the state are also being linked to the scheme. This is a unique scheme in the world. Necessary changes will also be made in future on the basis of the feedback that will emerge from implementation of the scheme”, he said.
