Stressing on the need of education and staying fit in daily life, HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar said that physical education in necessary for the students in order for education to be complete. He said students should start doing yoga, exercise and take part in aerobics to stay fit.
“Education is incomplete without physical education. Students must exercise, do yoga, aerobics, running depending on their choice to stay fit and healthy,” Javadekar said and added that these attributes must be inculcated in individual behavior as they help in holistic development.
Stakeholder from private sector, various NGOs and individuals were present at the national workshop with the aim to promote holistic development which is a key requirement of 21st century.
“The government and various other organizations working in the field of education should be involved in content corporation and create a common digital platform to provide digital education for all students of the country,” said Javadekar.
“Complete development involves development of human body, mind, wisdom and soul,” said Satyapal Singh, HRD minister of state.
