During the recruitment drive held between October 29 and November 1 at Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore, the class of 2017-19 of two year Post Graduate Program witnessed 100 percent placement with all its 401 students getting recruit in various sectors by different companies.
Prof Ganesh Prabhu, chairperson, career development services, IIM Bangalore said: “The slight downturn that we observed in the final placements of the batch of 2017, just eight months ago, has been corrected by a major resurge in hiring interest across all sectors for the IIM-B summer placements.”
Most of the offers were made in the domain of Strategy Consulting from following companies:

The next big recruiter was e-commerce sector followed by the technology sector (offering 54 roles) and marketing and sales sector (51 roles). Investments and capital markets offered 27 offers, business analytics offered 21 offers and 38 offers from leadership and management track roles were offered by both international and Indian business conglomerates.
Harsha Bhattad, student placement representative at IIM Bangalore said: “Marketing offers have also substantially increased this year with greater interest from top recruiters and students in this domain.”
