There is a reason for the engineering aspirants to rejoice, as in Joint Engineering Examination (JEE) Advanced 2018, 4000 additional students will be eligible to sit.
The decision to increase the eligible students from 2.20 lakh to 2.24 lakh for 2018 was taken by the Joint Admission Board.
The details about the number of seats along with the other details will be later by the authority. JEE Advanced 2018 will be conducted by the IIT Kanpur on May 20, 2018. In an official notification posted on the JEE advanced website it is written “candidates should be among the top 2,24,000 (including all categories) by scoring positive marks in Paper-1 of JEE (Main) 2018.”
The 23 IITs across the country have around 11,000 seats and this year, even after conducting seven rounds of counseling 121 seats remained empty.
Unlike last year, this year JEE Advanced 2018 will be conducted in computer-based test mode. The exam consists of two papers, paper 1 and paper 2 and each paper is of three hour duration.
