On Thursday, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) announced the schedule for its entrance examination for the academic year 2018-19.
As of now the university is offering a total of 720 seats for M Phil/ PhD courses, 459 for BA programs and 1,118 seats for MA, M.Sc, M.Tech and MPH courses.
The online registration for the exams has begun from September 15, 2017.
In a press release the university said that the entrance exams will be conducted on four days from December 27 to December 30 and test center for the exams will be spread across 53 cities in the country.
The last date to apply for the same is October 13, 2017.
In May, the exam authority had announced that from this year there will be a shift in the entrance exam period from May and June to December.
The decision to shift the exam period was taken two years after it was first put forward in a meeting of the varsity’s Academic Council (AC).
“Part-time programs (diploma and certificate courses) will have 240 seats open,” according to the statement, signed by the Registrar.
To fill the form the candidates are first required to register themselves with relevant education skills. They need to upload their photograph and signature. Then they have to pay the application fee and submit the application.
