Bhopal: Meritorious students feted in Shajapur district

Bhopal: In order to encourage school kids to perform well in their board exam, Shajapur district administration organised a felicitation ceremony to honour students who excelled in their state high school and higher secondary board exams. The programme was held here at district headquarters situated Gandhi Hall. Administration not only felicitated students, but honoured school teachers, principals and parents as well those who delivered their best throughout the year.

Shujalpur MLA Jaswant Singh Hada, Kalapipal MLA Indersingh Parmar, Shajapur MLA Arun Bhimawad graced the occasion with district collector Alka Shrivastava, superintendent of police Monica Shukla, district panchayat CEO Dr Virendra Singh Rawat, district education officer KS Rajput, principal Arun Vyas, Shashibala Rajalu, Sheetal Bhawsar and Ramesh Patidar. This year as many as 11 students from Shajapur district ensured their place in high school and higher secondary board exam. Hrishabh Makwana from Sahara Public School, Kalapipal, Vinod Rajput from Saraswati Vidhya Mandir, Kalapipal and Hrithita Jain, a student of Adarsh Malwa Higher Secondary School, Shajapur claimed third, ninth and tenth spot in science (PCM) stream across the state respectively.

In commerce stream, Alfiya Meman from Sahara Public School, Kalapipal and Shivani Patidar from SVM Shujalpur Mandi claimed sixth and eighth spot, respectively, in the state-level merit list. In science (PCB) group, Vinay Dagar of Sahara Public School, Kalapipal claimed fourth position in the state merit list. Addressing the programme, chief guest MLA Hada praised students for their hard work, dedication and making district proud once again.

MLA Parmar in his address appreciated teachers and parents commitment saying both are important in students’ success. Parmar informed public about state government education loan scheme for students who scored more than 75 per cent in their board exams. MLA Bhimawad also addressed the students saying that it’s matter of pride for us that now several meritorious students are coming from remote areas and it shows how quality of education has improved in the state. District collector Shrivastava also addressed the students and encouraged them to continue their hard work in future as well to achieve their goal in life.
