BHOPAL: IN LAST 24 hours light showers were witnessed in in some parts of Indore, Ujjain and Sagar division. Maximum temperatures shot up particularly in Chambal division.
The day temperatures remained above normal mark in districts of Ujjain division. The highest maximum temperature of 43 degree Celsius was recorded in many parts of the State.
It was a dry day in Bhopal on Wednesday. City also witnessed partial cloudy weather which provided some relief from sweltering heat. Over all, scorching heat made people sweat. As ‘Nautapa’, a period when days are hotter starting from Thursday, hence mercury-level is expected to rise further. In noon hours, heat becomes unbearable and hot winds just increases the problem of people. To escape from sweltering heat, people avoid going out of office and home during noon hours. Henceforth, traffic flow on roads that becomes thin during noon. Two-wheeler riders cover their face with handkerchief to protect themselves from hot winds. Even the nights are uncomfortable as minimum temperatures are above normal-level everywhere. Over all, it is round the clock that heat is giving harrowing time to people in the State.
As May month is considered as last month of summer season, hence people are anticipating that only numbered days are left for sweltering heat.
In June, pre-monsoon activities start and subsequently, mercury-level comes down. As of now, Madhya Pradesh is facing extreme heat that is affecting normal life of people.
Weather Department forecasted that dust storm and thunder activities are likely to be there in isolated parts of entire Madhya Pradesh.
The forecast for Bhopal says that sky will largely be clear and during afternoon hours there is possibility of partial clouding and thunder activities. Maximum temperature will be around 42 degree Celsius.
