Digital media expert Sarman Nagele has said that we have have become global citizens and members of the global digital society in the process of digitization. India is moving towards Digital Democracy from Digital India. He was speaking as the keynote speaker at on the discussion of Digital India at the Academy of Administration under the aegis of the Indian Institute of Public Administration, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh Regional Branch, Bhopal .
Nagele said that the era of global village is going on. That’s why digital society has some ethics and methodologies. It is important to take care of them. The government and we need to develop a parallel mechanism to increase digital literacy. Every state needs to pay attention to this.
Former senior IAS officer K.K. Sethi introduced the theme of Digital India program, giving information about internet and mobile phone statistics in India, Broadband Highway, Universal Access to Mobile Connectivity, Universal Access to Mobile Connectivity, E-Governance through Technology Reforms in Government, E-Revolution – Electronic Delivery of Services, Information for All, Electronics Manufacturing, IT for Jobs, Early Harvest Program exposed.
Sarman Nagele said that India is poised to lead digital democracy and digital world, the next war will be on cyber bar. Almost the entire data of India has gone outside India. Government of India needs to do a lot of work in data center and cloud storage with artificial intelligence, there is a special need for digital literacy. Talking about aspects related to good governance, public service delivery, digital products, cyber security, said that India does not have any OTT policy. Any major social media platform does not have a server in India, it has many disadvantages, so the government needs to pay special attention to it. Gave information about prevention of online gambling and control of online gaming, digital banking, internet banking.
Sarman Nagele said that India is leading digital democracy and digital world. He talked about including Internet in India as a fundamental right and taking special initiative by the Government of India for virtual communication for all.
