On Saturday, the world university rankings for the subject of life sciences were released by the Times Higher Education Ranking and Stanford University grabbed a top position among all the institutes around the globe. The Universities which grabbed the top 5 ranks are University College of London, Princeton University, Harvard University and Duke University.
Although, no Indian institution found its place in the top 100 many of the nation’s institutes did find a place in the band 200 to 500.
Among Indian institutes, the top position was grabbed by the Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore in 201-500 band. Among the BRICS countries, IISc’s rank in 14 and among the Asia Universities its rank is 27.
IIT-Bombay closely followed the IISC in 251-300 range. Aligarh Muslim University and IIT Delhi found their place in 301-400 band.
