Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has reportedly hired veteran Congress leader, P Chidambaram to fight the case against the prior High Court ruling to determine the administrative head of Delhi in Supreme Court.
The senior advocate has joined the legal team of Aam Aadmi Party to argue against the High Court’s decision of the lieutenant governor being the administrative boss of the Capital which refrains the State government from taking important decisions.
While the AAP leaders insisted that “there have been previous instances where political leaders have fought legal cases in favour of their political adversaries” but the Congress leader Ajay Maken didn’t let the opportunity go for taking a dig at the party in question.
Digging up at the past instances where AAP leaders attacked Congress and Chidambaram in particular for financial irregularities and BSES representation while Delhi Congress was protesting against the power distribution company.
Maken tweeted to congratulate Chidambaram for tapping his once critic and the party which called him one of the “most corrupt politicians” and asked if the party will be apologising.
Retweeting an old tweet of Nagendar Sharma who is currently an AAP ally which read, “Poor Delhi Congress leaders demand action against BSES, but their Sr leaders Chidambaram & Sibal argue in SC for immediate government payment to them.”
