Day temperature in the city as well as in other parts of the state continues to remain high above the normal mark. Even the dip in night temperature has not been sharp enough to bring down the day temperature.
Meteorological department, Bhopal circle officials said that there was no system over the state and possibility of sharp dip in day temperature is bleak in near future. Similarly, night temperature will not witness any significant change in next few days till the impact of western disturbance persists in the state.
Maximum temperature in Bhopal on Thursday was recorded at 33.8 degrees celsius, three degrees more than the normal mark while minimum temperature was recorded at 16.4 degrees celsius, a degree less than the normal mark.
The wind direction in the city was south easterly and average wind speed was 12km per hour. Not only Bhopal, other parts of the state are also witnessing higher temperatures during daytime.
Maximum temperature in Khajuraho was 36.8 degrees celsius, four degrees more than the normal mark while Gwalior recorded 35.5 degrees, three degrees more than the normal mark.
In the forecast for Bhopal, the met officials said, “Weather is likely to be dry. The maximum and minimum temperatures would be around 35 and 17 degrees celsius respectively and average wind speed will be around 10 kmph.”
In the forecast for state the met officials said, “Weather is most likely to remain dry. The minimum temperature will fall by one or two degrees and there will be no large change in maximum temperatures.”
