For the Israel Government Scholarships 2018-19, the Israel government has invited applications from eligible candidates.
As of now, the Israel government is providing 5 scholarship awards for the duration of 8 months for research/specialization from the universities.
The universities included are approved by the Israeli Council for Higher Education.
Along with this, there are also two short term scholarships for the students who wish to study the Hebrew. The applications are invited only in online mode.

The last date to submit the proposal is November 30, 2017.

- Comparative Study of Religions (with specific reference to Judaism)
- Middle East Studies
- Hebrew Language and Literature
- History of the Jewish people
- Agriculture
- Biology
- Biotechnology
- Economics
- Business Management
- Mass Communication
- Environment Studies
- Chemistry
Eligibility
- There is no age limit for the scholarships.
- For comparative study of Religions, Middle East Studies, and History of Jewish people candidate must have Master’s degree in the relevant field with 55% marks.
- For Hebrew Language and Literature course any students pursuing PG in this field can apply.
- For all other courses mentioned above candidate must have PG degree with 60% marks in the relevant field.
Value of scholarship
Partial scholarship will cover:
- Part of the tuition fee
- Basic health insurance
- Monthly allowance for one academic year (8 months)
Full scholarship will cover:
- Full tuition fee
- Basic health insurance
- Monthly allowance for one academic year (8 months)
Accommodation, transportation and travel arrangements, to and fro from Israel will have to be made by the students.
