Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today visited politically sensitive Kerala and interacted with the people and media. This is Pradhan’s maiden visit to the state since he had been made in-charge of 5 Lok Sabha seats in the state by BJP.

While interacting with media, Pradhan said that the benefit of development and welfare agenda for poor, farmers and needy as set by Narendra Modi should also reach to the people of Kerala too. “Kerala has long been exploited by leftist violent forces set out to destroy the basic binding fabric of our society,” he said. To push the saffron surge in the state, BJP President Amit Shah too will visit the state in October. “Shah will lead the Jan Raksha Yatra in Kannur on October 3,” he said.

“Jan Raksha Yatra is meant to support our fight against such leftist and jehadi terrorism destroying the peace and harmony of our society,” he added. During his visit Pradhan addressed the party workers at the inaugural function of Jan Raksha Yatra in Thrissur.

“ As a ruling party at the Centre it is our duty to make people aware of the several pro-poor, pro-farmer & pro-youth initiatives of Modi government,” he said. “Tax revenue collected by the Modi Government reaches back to people through various schemes unlike UPA govt which was looted in scams,” he added.
