Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, at a programme to distribute crop insurance certificates to farmers at Kaagpur village of Vidisha district said information on roadmap to double the agriculture income would be given by organising farmers’ conventions in the month of September at block headquarters.
He said apart from farmers, agriculture scientists present at the convention would advise farmers after testing the area’s soil. Suggestions received from the farmers in proposed conventions would also be included in the roadmap.
Chouhan said the government’s topmost priority was to make farming a profitable profession. Kisan Bazaars would be come up in all urban bodies. The CM said contrary to expectation, this year there had been less rainfall in a few regions in MP but the farmers should rest assured because the state government had prepared an action plan to tackle any type of natural calamity.
Chouhan mentioned that all the undisputed mutation and demarcation cases would be disposed of within next three months. Anyone who brings to the notice of the government any case pending for more than three months will be rewarded Rs one lakh. Also, action will be taken against the revenue officer concerned.Chouhan announced a cleanliness drive would be launched in the state from September 25 to October 2.
