Bhopal: When Supreme Court can hear Yakub Memon’s plea at 3:30 am and had taken swift decision many a times, why did higher authority push my case under the carpet instead of disposing it off in time, questioned suspended ADJ RK Srivas, who is on a “cycle–yatra” seeking justice. He said that he would continue to fight against injustice in judiciary
It is very painful to see that despite being a part of judiciary, I did not get justice. The authorities termed my going to media as misconduct, said Srivas who is on a cycle–yatra from Neemuch to Jabalpur.
While interacting with media here on Tuesday, The suspended ADJ alleged that he has been harassed for over last three years. He was transferred four times in 15 months and in his entire career, he was shifted 15 times. Frequent transfers have affected my family life and disturbed my children’s studies, he added. Stating that he finds no fault with transfer policy, Srivas rued that its implementation was erroneous. Authority favours their near and dear ones and if one does not have any approach, he get step-motherly treatment. My point is that higher authority should treat everyone as equal.
Replying to volley of questions about “misconduct” ADJ clarified, “Initially I wrote to the authorities seeking permission to approach media as my problem was not redressed in time. Higher authority should take one-month time at the most to look into the matter and I gave sufficient time but they remained mum. Seeing no response coming I went to media with my problem. “High Court registrar has dubbed it as misconduct, it will also be misconduct on their part for the pushing my case under carpet instead of timely attending to it. My application should have been disposed of within 15 days, or one month or at most six months but it was dumped in dust bin.”
Srivas had launched “yatra” on August 19 and after covering 400 kilometers, he arrived in Bhopal on Tuesday to warm welcome. He will reach Jabalpur in next three to four days and there he will again picket at High Court. A number of advocates had gathered at Board Office Square to greet Srivas. Congress leaders PC Sharma was there to welcomed him at Apsara Restaurant. Shiv Sena and Akhil Bharatiya Mahasabha have also extended their support to ADJ Srivas in his fight to justice.
