Everyone knows that Shah Rukh Khan is essaying a vertically challenged person in his next film with Aanand L Rai, which is scheduled for a Christmas release next year. The film will also star Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif in pivotal roles. While this was a known fact, what we didn’t know was that Rohit Shetty‘s action drama starring Ranveer Singh, inspired by Junior NTR’s hit Telugu film, Temper, is also slated to release the same time. Well, looks like after Diwale vs Bajirao Mastani in December 2015, SRK and Ranveer are all set to clash yet again in December 2018. Now, that’s interesting.
A source in the know of this development, informed us that Rohit Shetty’s film starring Ranveer Singh in the lead will also release during Christmas 2018. This would mean for three consecutive years, Ranveer will have a film releasing in December – Bajirao Mastani (2016), Padmavati (2017) and the Temper remake in 2018. It would be interesting and exciting to see our favourite heroes battle it out once again at the Box Office. Don’t you think? Previously talking about the film Rohit Shetty had told a leading daily, “I will start the film next year in May or June. It is a hardcore action film. It is a space which Ranveer has not explored and he wanted to do this with me. People will love that also. I don’t think it will be difficult to present him in this space (action).”
Meanwhile, on the professional front Ranveer is on cloud nine with the response the Padmavati trailer has been getting. The trailer garnered 15 million views on just the first day making it the first Hindi film trailer to get such a huge response within just 24 hours. The love and appreciation he has been getting for his Alauddin Khilji avatar drove him to tears as well. The actor has also been roped in to play Kapil Dev in his biopic directed by Kabir Khan. Moreover, he also has Zoya Akhtar’s The Gully Boy in line with Alia Bhatt.
Ranveer definitely has quite a busy year ahead. In the meantime, the lead actress in the Temper remake is yet to be finalised. There’s a rumour doing the rounds that Katrina Kaif could be roped in opposite him in the film, but till now there’s no official confirmation on this. If this comes true, we don’t know how Ranveer’s lady love, Deepika Padukone will react to this. Anyway as of now we can’t seem to wait for December 2018 any more. What about you?
