Thursday’s episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 9 started off with Yogesh Sharma continuing to play on Amitabh Bachchan’s show. Yogesh Sharma picked up from where he had left – he got the question for Rs. 40,000 to answer. Yogesh turned out to be a cool headed and confident player and reached up to the lakhs without much difficulty. The road till Rs. 6.4 lakhs was rather smooth for Yogesh, who however needed a Life Line to win Rs. 12.5 lakhs. He exhausted two actually – phone a friend and jodidaar – and by then it was time for the quarter crore question. Yogesh appeared to be unsure but still played on confidently.
Amitabh Bachchan, the brilliant host he is, is known to create suspense ahead of declaring the result of an answer. But this time, he took a noticeable longer breather only to announce that Yogesh is now the winner of Rs. 25 lakhs! “I almost had a heart attack,” was Yogesh’s response. Justified, Yogesh.
Yogesh was next to play for the half crore bounty but decided to quit the game and go home with a prize money of Rs. 25 lakhs. Aditya Dubey became the next contestant to take the Hot Seat, who will continue to play the game tomorrow.
