Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s son Taimur was born in the spotlight. The adorable munchkin is a paparazzi favourite and is quite comfortable with the cameras already, so it was not too hard to believe the speculation that he might make his debut on the big screen with a cameo in Veere Di Wedding.
However, Kareena dashed all hopes when she confirmed that Taimur will not be a part of the film. In a video shared by Veere Di Wedding’s official Instagram handle, the actor was asked if her son would be in the film and she said, “No, but his mother is in the film. I think that’s enough na? It’s either me or him. Rhea (Kapoor, producer) can’t afford both.” Rhea laughed and was quick to chime in, “It’s out of my budget.”
Said to be inspired by the Hollywood film, The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants, Veere Di Wedding is about four friends on a trip from Delhi to Europe. Kareena will be paired opposite Sumeet Vyas in the film.
The film also stars Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania, and will be directed by Shashanka Ghosh.
