The song Jimikki Kammal from superstar Mohanlal-starrer Velipadinte Pusthakam is the new rage in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Thanks to a bunch of college students from Indian School of Commerce, who posted a video performing on Jimikki Kammal on YouTube. Interestingly, talk show host Jimmy Kimmel said he loved the song. A Twitter user asked Jimmy whether he heard Jimikki Kammal that is doing the rounds on the internet.
Responding to his question, Jimmy said, “Not until now, but I love it!”
The video, that was posted last week, has clocked more than 4.7 million views on YouTube and has become a hit in Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
This Onam saw four big Malayalam releases – Mohanlal’s Velipadinte Pusthakam, Mammootty’s Pullikaran Stara, Prithviraj’s Adam Joan and Nivin Pauly’s Njandukalude Nattil Oridavela.
While Njandukalude Naatil Oridavela opened to positive response from critics and fans, the other three films mostly received mixed reviews.
