When love blossomed between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie on the sets of Mr And Mrs Smith, he was still married to Jennifer Aniston. What happened next is common knowledge – Jennifer was left nursing a broken heart, as Brad decided to end their five-year-long marriage for Angelina. However, after his romance with Angelina came to an end last year, a retrospective Brad decided to right his wrongs and recently apologised to Jennifer, if a report in In Touch is to be believed.
A source told the publication, “He’s been determined to apologize for everything he put her through, and that’s exactly what he did. It was the most intimate conversation Brad and Jen have ever had.” Apparently, an overwhelmed Jennifer broke down after his heartfelt apology. “All the hurt feelings and resentment she’d suppressed for years came flooding to the surface, and she broke down in tears,” the source added.
Not only did Brad apologise for cheating on Jennifer with Angelina, he also regretted being “an absentee husband, being stoned and bored much of the time.” Jennifer accepted his apology, and according to the insider, “After Jen’s acceptance of Brad’s deeply moving apology, she and Brad have reached a level of closeness that they never thought possible.”
Even with their newfound friendship, Brad is not completely satisfied, as he feels he still has some amends to make. He is determined to go the extra mile to ensure that there is closure on all unresolved issues left between them.
