Kangana Ranaut doesn’t seem to be among the people who let sleeping dogs lie. Or chronicles of exes forgotten. In an upcoming interview, the Queen star is all set to re-open the can of worms that was the talk of the town last year: the battle between her and Hrithik Roshan.
For the uninitiated, it was in February 2016 when news broke that Hrithik had slapped a defamation notice on Kangana for referring to him as a ‘silly ex’ in an interview that she had given to a website. The notice started an ugly blame game, with every imaginable and unimaginable form of mud-slinging that Bollywood had seen till then. It soon snowballed into suits and counter-suits, mails and ‘intimate photos’ being leaked and what not.
After several months of being at loggerheads with each other, Kangana and Hrithik’s representatives and lawyers told the media that they had decided to sort out their differences ‘amicably’.
Little did they know back then what 2017 had in store for them.
In the promo of a soon-to-be-aired interview, Kangana is apparently ‘opening up’ like never before, on the biggest public spat from last year. In the 40-second promo, Kangana is seen demanding an apology from Hrithik (albeit not named in the teaser). She goes on to say that people still search for those mails that were leaked and the kind of emotional trauma the entire episode inflicted on her.
“I have suffered so much of humiliation… it’s incalculable. I wept all night. I couldn’t sleep. The stress, the trauma, mental trauma, emotional trauma…” she is seen saying.
It remains to be seen whether or not Hrithik apologises to Kangana. The two actors have worked together in films like Krrish 3 and Kites.
