BHOPAL: After heavy showers lashed the city for the last two consecutive days Sunday went rainless in the city and spell of rainfall faded away across the State in the past two days.
Met official said that system over Vidharbha would induce rainfall over south MP which is likely to be witnessed on Monday. Bhopal witnessed brief light showers on the weekend which provided little relief while the weather remained hot and humid.
Alter has been issued for regions which are likely to be flooded due to continuous heavy rainfall and it has been issued for Khandwa, Dhar, Badwani, Jhabua and Alirajpur.
Warning of heavy rainfall has been issued for Indore division and Dewas, Ratlam and Ujjain districts in the next 24 hours.
In the past two days, a mix of heavy and moderate rainfall has been witnessed in the state and in the next 3-4 days heavy rainfall is likely to be recorded in few places.
Most of the places in Indore and Ujjain divisions recorded good amount of rainfall while several places in Jabalpur, Sagar, Bhopal and Hoshangabad divisions recorded rainfall in the past 24 hours.
