Quickest Hybrid vehicle designed by the AMU engineering students; Won Award

A team of students from Zakir Hussain College of Engineering (ZHCET), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) won the first prize for designing a three-wheeled hybrid vehicle.

The competed against 6 entries from various engineering colleges in a national level event ‘ National Event of Efficycle 2017 ‘ held at the Lovely Professional University in Phagwara, Punjab.

A statement from university said ‘ These students, who are a part of Team Green Warriors (TGW), SAE Club, ZHCET, AMU have come back from the event with a cash prize of Rs. 25,000 for designing the quickest hybrid vehicle.’

The team members Vikram (Captain), Kunal (Vice Captain), Ashish Garg, Reshabh, Manish Chaudhary, Pratigya, Amisha Saxena, Shubhi, Abhishek, Saalim, Irfan, Asif, Sajal, Saksham, Kamran, Shambhavi, Rohit Saraswat, Israr and Deeshant won accolade under the guidance of SAE club seniors– Wamiq Hasmi, Shubham Varshney, Arreb Mahmood, Anchal Varshney and Mehul Varshney.

The vehicle tackles the problem of large fuel efficiency and is capable of running on both human and electric power.

“We are extremely proud of the accomplishments of our students,” said ZHCET faculty members.
